Terms of Service for Rose

Last updated: September 7, 2026 · Native app

These Terms govern use of the Rose & Bible native app, web app, and related backend, AI, audio, account, and paid services.

Current release scope: community, groups, direct messages, events, device location, and web notifications are disabled. Sections governing those features apply only to historical data or if a feature is lawfully enabled in a future release after its notices and controls are updated.

By registering, signing in, or using Rose, a user agrees to these Terms. Additional notices, store terms, payment terms, and privacy information may apply to individual features.

1. Provider, scope, and contact

Rose is provided by:

Gracia Lukelo Tshakulongo
Gerresheimer Straße 182
40233 Düsseldorf
Deutschland

Email: info@rose-bible.com

These Terms apply subject to mandatory consumer and local law. A user's differing terms apply only if expressly accepted.

2. Service description

Rose currently provides AI-assisted Bible conversations, Bible reading and context, chat, voice and read-aloud features, settings, saved content, accounts, locally scheduled native reminders, purchases, and related services. Community, group, direct-message, event, device-location, and web-notification features are not available in the current release.

Some features are available without an account. Other features may require an account, internet connection, device permission, age eligibility, compatible hardware, a free allowance, or a paid product.

AI, voice, synchronization, community, payment, and security features may depend on external providers, app stores, and backend services.

3. Registration and account security

Account features may support email/password, Google Sign-In, Sign in with Apple, or another displayed method. Users must provide accurate information and keep credentials confidential.

Users must use strong passwords, report unauthorized access promptly, and must not share accounts or credentials. Account availability is subject to mandatory law and these Terms.

4. Minimum age and protection of minors

Rose is not specifically directed to children under 16. A person under 16 may use Rose only where permitted by applicable law and with required parental consent.

Parents or guardians are responsible for appropriate supervision. Community, messaging, profile, image, voice, and AI features may be unsuitable for some minors.

5. Acceptable use

Users must use Rose lawfully, respectfully, securely, and within its intended functionality. Users must not violate third-party rights, disrupt systems, bypass security, scrape data without authorization, reverse engineer except where mandatory law permits it, distribute malware, or create abusive cost or load.

Users must not impersonate others, use another person's account, manipulate billing or usage limits, interfere with moderation, or submit content they are not entitled to use.

6. AI, Bible, voice, and pastoral-care notices

AI-generated answers, summaries, Bible context, translation comparisons, historical information, and voice responses may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or unsuitable for a particular situation.

Rose does not replace qualified medical, psychological, psychiatric, legal, tax, financial, governmental, or pastoral advice. Users facing an emergency, danger, abuse, violence, or self-harm risk should contact local emergency or crisis services immediately.

Users should independently verify Bible passages, quotations, sources, interpretations, and conclusions. Voice features can be affected by microphones, speakers, Bluetooth, connectivity, operating systems, providers, and device performance.

7. Community and user-generated content

User-generated content includes profiles, images, posts, comments, messages, group and event content, media, reactions, and reports created or shared through Rose.

Illegal, abusive, defamatory, threatening, harassing, hateful, extremist, exploitative, pornographic, harmful-to-minors, violent, self-harm-promoting, fraudulent, deceptive, spam, manipulative, privacy-infringing, or copyright-infringing content is prohibited.

Users must not expose another person's data without authorization, endanger minors, encourage violence or crime, exploit vulnerable persons, or bypass protective measures.

8. Reporting, blocking, and moderation

Users can report unlawful or abusive content or users through available in-app tools or by emailing support@rose-bible.com. Reporting and blocking tools must not be abused.

Reported or detected content may be reviewed, restricted, hidden, removed, preserved, or reported. Accounts may be warned, restricted, suspended, blocked, or terminated where permitted or required.

Urgent action may be taken without advance notice for clear abuse, security risks, legal violations, danger to users, payment fraud, manipulation, or repeated violations.

9. Rights in user content

Users retain ownership of their content. They grant Rose a non-exclusive, worldwide, transferable, sublicensable, royalty-free license only to the extent required to host, transmit, display, process, back up, analyze, moderate, and secure that content and provide the selected feature.

The license ends after deletion unless continued retention is required for law, security, evidence, backups, moderation, abuse prevention, or another legitimate reason. Users confirm that they possess all necessary rights and permissions.

10. Rose content, trademarks, and software

Rose software, designs, logos, text, databases, features, trademarks, and interfaces are protected. Users receive a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the app as intended.

Copying, commercial exploitation, automated extraction, circumvention, decompilation, or other use outside the intended service is prohibited except where mandatory law provides otherwise.

11. Free allowances, paid features, and stores

Rose may provide free allowances, subscriptions, consumable credits, or other paid products. Scope, price, term, renewal, cancellation, refund rules, and technical requirements are displayed in Rose and by the applicable store.

Apple App Store and Google Play terms also apply to store purchases. Store billing, cancellation, and refund rules prevail where mandatory. Digital purchases in the iOS app use Apple In-App Purchase; digital Android purchases use Google Play Billing.

Free allowances may be reasonably limited or changed to prevent abuse, subject to mandatory user rights.

12. Availability, updates, and security

Rose is maintained with reasonable care, but uninterrupted or error-free availability cannot be guaranteed except where required by law. Maintenance, incidents, network issues, provider changes, force majeure, app-store rules, and device limitations may affect service.

Users should install relevant app and operating-system updates. Security issues can be reported to security@rose-bible.com.

13. Privacy and account deletion

Details of personal-data processing are provided in the Privacy Policy. Account-deletion information is available at /account-deletion?lang=en&surface=app.

Some features require processing of account, profile, chat, voice, community, device, purchase, security, or support data as described in the Privacy Policy and relevant notices.

14. Cancellation, deletion, and suspension

Users may stop using Rose and can delete or request deletion of their account. Store subscriptions must also be cancelled through the applicable store.

Rose may restrict or terminate content, accounts, or features for violations, legal duties, security or abuse risk, payment fraud, infringement, or another legitimate reason, subject to mandatory rights.

15. Warranty and liability

Mandatory statutory warranty rights apply. Rose is fully liable for intent and gross negligence, injury to life, body, or health, mandatory product liability, and expressly assumed guarantees.

For slight negligence affecting an essential contractual duty, liability is limited to foreseeable, typical damage to the extent permitted by law. Otherwise, liability for slight negligence is excluded where lawful.

Rose is not liable for decisions based solely on AI output, community content, Bible interpretation, or voice responses unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

16. Indemnification for violations

Where legally permitted, a user who culpably violates these Terms, third-party rights, or law must indemnify Rose against justified third-party claims, reasonable enforcement costs, and resulting damage. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

17. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated when features, providers, pricing models, security requirements, law, or app-store rules change. Material changes will be communicated appropriately and will apply subject to mandatory law.

18. Governing law and final provisions

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods, without limiting mandatory consumer protections of the user's country of habitual residence.

If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective and applicable statutory rules replace the affected provision.

19. Contact
